Gitzo introduces for the first time in the monopod range the basalt tube with a new fully featured monopod.
Basalt tubes are made of the same technology of carbon 6X tubes and offer intermediate performance levels between carbon fiber and aluminium. Yet basalt maintains all the benefits of carbon fiber and composite materials in terms of thermal stability, vibration absorption and specific engineered structure for camera support applications.
Like the carbon 6X monopod range, basalt monopod offers ALR and g-lock systems.

Thanks to ALR, monopods are now incredibly fast to operate and the height can be easily and precisely adjusted. The innovative and exclusive G-Lock system that allows faster and stronger locking and increases leg rigidity by 20%. All new monopods come with a convenient anti-dust bag for storage and packing.
