Robert, I think that the 15 mm Nikonos lens is a truly wonderful close up lens especially for showing a creature in the context of its environment. I would like three of them. If you want to better isolate the subject your shooting a longer focal length is always better. This is particularly true on land but seems to work underwater as well. I use my 20mm nikonos for larger creatures that are further away. Remember film is by far the least expensive item you purchase, don't be afraid to experiment and find out what works for you.
