Helix Aquaflash 28

I have a Aquaflash 28 with a remote sensor(TTL ?).
I can get the flash to work with out the remote sensor
But when I attach the sensor, it will not work.

Can the sensor be replaced?
Is it worth the cost?

Also, The battery cover is not in the best of shape,
do you have replacement parts for it?
