Product Details:
There's no greater assurance than being able to see the o-ring seal. Simply close the two double-passivated stainless steel locking lid snaps, and see the o-ring form a solid black, watertight seal. Large, easy-to-reach controls are provided for all important camera functions including the rear dial.
Ikelite products are designed, built and tested in the USA. We use locally sourced, top-grade materials. Our housings are built by hand and individually tested for fit, function and waterproof integrity. We back our products with over 50 years of experience and service within the dive industry.
Flash:
An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results a color correcting filter or external lighting is recommended. External lighting is more powerful and can be placed in a position to virtually eliminate the backscatter - or "snow" - from your underwater images.
Two ports are provided for the attachment of Ikelite, SEA&SEA, and Olympus-type fiber optic cables. Alternatively, optional AF35 strobe triggers and provides automatic TTL exposure by watching the camera's built-in flash, without the need of fiber optic cords or sensors.

For lenses with a 110 to 170 degrees angle of coverage. Ikelite acrylic domes are injection molded specifically for underwater photography, and represent the finest optics in the industry. Domes are recommended for lenses 28mm and wider to preserve the full angle of coverage. Zoom lenses that do not focus to 12 inches (30 cm) require a +4 diopter close-up lens.
Accommodates lenses up to 2.5-inch (6.3 cm) long and 3.3-inch (8.4 cm) in diameter. Measure your lens or use our Port Finder to determine compatibility. This port does not allow use of a dome shade.

Underwater photographic equipment cannot be watertight unless the O-rings that seal it are flawless. Always carry spare O-rings in your camera case.O-rings are the most important components of your underwater camera system. If the O-ring is lubricated, it will be elastic enough to shape itself uniformly around the channel. If it is dry, there will be too much friction to allow it to reshape itself uniformly. It will not safeguard against flooding.Every time you open the camera to change film, examine the O-ring and service if necessary.Always clean and lubricate after every diving day. When in doubt about the sealing capability of an O-ring, always discard and replace.Never use a sharp or pointed object to remove an O-ring! Use the O-ring remover tool.Don't overgrease! Too much grease attracts debris that will disrupt the seal and cause flooding. Silicone grease is not a sealant; it only protects the O-ring from abrasion. A perfectly greased O-ring looks moist and shiny.

Connects Strobes to Underwater Housings. The best quality Fiber-Optic Cable is composed of 613 fibers (cores). Even when the cable is bent, attenuation of light is minimal. Therefore, the light signal will be transmitted to a strobe without loss. Compared with single fiber cables , the Fiber-Optic Cable II is more resistant to distortion, bending and physical impact.

This 29" Fiber-Optic Cable II from Sea & Sea is composed of 613 fibers (cores). Even when the cable is bent, attenuation of light is minimal. Therefore, the light signal will be transmitted to a strobe without loss. Compared to single-fiber cables, the Fiber-Optic Cable II is more resistant to distortion, bending and physical impact. It has 2 fittings for use with all Sea & Sea housings and strobes. The cable is not "one-directional". It may be used in any direction, meaning either end may be applied to the housing or the strobe. The FOC II is designed for the use of the new Internal Optical YS-Converter.
