Dive into underwater photography with this compact and easy to use system. Durable clear polycarbonate construction provides a unique view of the camera to ensure correct waterproof installation and confidence underwater. The camera installs with drop-in loading for quick and easy set up. Simply close the side latch and see the o-ring form a solid black, watertight seal. Large, ergonomic controls provide access to all important camera functions.
The nature of this camera's lens prevents the effective use of external wide angle lenses.

Flash
An included flash diffuser improves lighting quality when the camera's built-in flash is used. A built-in flash is effective between 1-3 feet (0.3-0.9m) from the subject in clear conditions. For best results a color correcting filter or external lighting is recommended. External lighting is more powerful and can be placed in a position to virtually eliminate the backscatter - or "snow" - from your underwater images.
Two fiber optic ports are provided for the connection of up to two Ikelite-, SEA&SEA-, or Olympus-type fiber optic cords.
Compatibility
The Panasonic LUMIX TS6 and FT6 cameras may also be used in the previous model housing built for the Panasonic LUMIX TS5 and FT5 cameras, item # 6270.05. However, very minor vignetting (dark shadows in the corners of the images) will be present. The lens port of this housing has been modified to be free of vignetting with both older and newer camera models.

Overview
The TG-5 has a fast 25-100mm mid-range zoom lens with a macro mode that betters almost every other compact out there right now. The TG-5 supports ultra HD 4K video and RAW image capture, which is a powerful tool for post-dive color corrections using either Adobe Lightroom or the included software. The TG-5 is waterproofed to 50' (15.2m) even without a housing, making it the ideal outdoor companion.
This housing is designed for a deeper depth rating and more robust handling than the comparable Olympus brand model. The front of the lens port has a standard 67mm thread for the direct attachment of most popular wide angle and macro wet lenses. A side-mounted shutter lever is more comfortable to use than top mounted styles.
Strobe Compatibility
Due to the position of the camera's flash in relation to its lens, the built-in flash is not suitable to illuminate photos under water. For the best color and clarity, we recommend adding a filter, strobe, or constant-on light. The built-in flash may be used to trigger external strobes via fiber optic sync cord. Two ports are provided for the connection of up to two fiber optic cords.
Any Ikelite DS strobe may be connected using the Fiber Optic Converter # 4401.1 and Fiber Optic Cord # 4501. The AF35 strobe is not compatible with this housing.
