The Wireless Flash RF60X is a portable flash with a built-in wireless transceiver that supports X-TTL with Cactus V6 II / V6 IIs wireless flash transceiver, high-speed sync / FP mode,* AF-assist and an exclusive Cooling Mode.
Pair with Cactus HHS Tranceiver V6II or V6IIs for Sony MIS
RF60X, V6 II and IIS X-TTL firmware update microsite
Built-in wireless commander and slave
The Cactus RF60X is a 2.4GHz radio-based wireless portable flash with a built-in transceiver that runs on 16 channels. It operates in three modes, Local for on-camera operation, Master and Slave modes for off-camera. To act as a commander, set an RF60X to Master and it can trigger an unlimited number of RF60X set in Slave mode. The effective distance between the RF60X Master and RF60X Slave is up to 100m (328 feet).
Wireless TTL on 8 camera brands
With the latest firmware installed, RF60X can transform into a wireless TTL off-camera flash triggered by V6 II and V6 IIs running X-TTL firmware. What this means is that RF60X will give you automatic flash exposure shooting from compatible Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Pentax, Sigma and Sony cameras.
Automatic wireless HSS support
When triggered by a Cactus V6 II / V6 IIs, the RF60X supports High-speed sync (HSS) / Focal Plane (FP) mode, typically found on a TTL flash. Controlled from the V6 II / V6 IIs transmitter, the user can select between Normal HSS, the typical longer pulsing flash with lower power outputs; or Power Sync, which gives you a boost in flash power.
Quick recharge time
After firing at full power the flash can recycle as quickly as 1.9 seconds.
AF-assist light
Unlike most other portable flash in the market, the AF-assist Light on the RF60X can also function as an off-camera flash in Slave mode. The Cactus V6 II turns on the AF-assist Light automatically which will illuminate your subject and provide extra light to help the camera lens focus. This is especially useful as the flash is usually placed closer distances to the subject than the camera.
Cooling mode
By intelligently regulating the recycle time the RF60X runs cool all the time. This industry exclusive feature allows the flash to sustain a steady performance even after consecutive full power flashes. You can now shoot without the restriction of an overheat cut-off.
Remote control of power and zoom levels
The power levels of the RF60X set in Slave mode can be adjusted from 1/128 to 1/1 full power in steps of 0.3EV. Zoom level can also be controlled from a wide 24mm zoom to 105mm. With remote power and zoom control, you can place the RF60X units in hard-to-reach places and control its power and zoom level wirelessly.
Group control of up to four groups with configurable Group Alias
In a typical lighting setup, the ability to adjust, activate and deactivate groups of lights is vital in creating the desired lighting effect. The RF60X can be configured into four distinct groups. Power output can be adjusted in individual group or in all groups at the same time for fast adjustments. To streamline the shooting experience, user can rename each group to: KEY, FILL, SPOT, RIM, HAIR, LEFT, RIGHT, BACK and FRONT.
Optical Slave with delay feature
The RF60X has a built-in optical sensor. The optical sensor captures pre-flash signals that are being emitted earlier than the flash sync. By setting the pre-flash optical trigger and the delay timer, you can set the exact time for the flash to start firing. This allows the RF60X to do not only first-curtain and second-curtain sync (also referred as front and rear curtain), but to fire at any given point of the image.
Multi-flash feature
In Multi mode, a rapid series of flashes is fired to capture multiple images of a moving subject in a single frame. This feature is available in all three flash modes so its users can create the desired effects with both on and off camera flash.
Compatible with other Cactus devices
Flash power and zoom level on RF60X Slave units can be controlled by an RF60X Master, RF60 Master, as well as Cactus V6, V6 II, and V6 IIs Flash Transceiver. Cactus V5 also supports basic flash triggering on the RF60X but does not support power and zoom level control on the RF60X. The RF60X in Master mode cannot trigger portable flashes mounted on V6 II or V6 IIs in Receiver (RX) mode; Cactus V6 II and V6 IIs can only be triggered by a V6 II and V6 IIs respectively.

ikelite SKU: 71473 | Helix SKU: 71473
A full featured and durable waterproof housing for Sony Alpha A9 Mirrorless cameras. Suitable for scuba, snorkel, surf, pool, and any application in or around the water.
Lens Ports
The single most important feature is the new Dry Lock (DL) port system. This exciting new system is designed to be robust and easy to assemble. It is built for reliable performance in the most remote of locations, meaning that their are no complex moving parts that may break and jeopardize your shoot.
Our new DL series ports are lighter and more adaptable than their FL counterparts. They accommodate popular large diameter, full-frame lenses with ease. If you're considering shooting professional quality lenses like the Canon 16-35mm f/2.8L III, then the DL system is essential.
Most popular zoom lenses and select lens focus rings can be engaged using a simple yet effective gearing system that puts adjustment right at your fingertips. A large, soft-touch lobed knob on the side of the housing makes fine tuned adjustments a breeze. Zoom and focus gears differ depending on which lens you are using. All are lightweight and affordable. Refer to the DL System port Chart for Sony Alpha Series.to choose the correct gear. Zoom gears sold separately.
Using Legacy Four Lock (FL) Ports
Due to differences in mount diameter and zoom engagement, DL and FL system ports cannot be used interchangeably. The DL port mount may be removed and replaced with the Port Locks for FL Port System (Set of 4) # 5509.04 for legacy users with standard or modular ports from our Four Lock system. This modification will prevent the use of newer DL ports. The housing cannot be converted back and forth repeatedly. Re-installation of the DL port base will require the housing to be returned to Ikelite or an Authorized Dealer and will incur additional service charges. There are significant advantages to upgrading your lens ports. For example, if you're shooting an 8" diameter dome, you'll also save almost 2 pounds by using the DL version instead.
Vacuum SystemThe included vacuum valve allows you to vacuum test the housing to check for leaks prior to putting your expensive equipment in the water. Combined with a full view of the camera and o-ring seal through the back of the housing, there is no greater assurance that your gear will be safe. Our signature open-groove design suspends the rear o-ring in a natural position that is easier to maintain and more reliable than forcing the o-ring into a channel.
Use of the vacuum valve requires a compatible Vacuum Pump with Gauge # 47011, sold separately.
TTL ExposureThis housings supports your choice of shooting with manual strobe exposure or adding a TTL converter depending on your application. The flash bulkhead is located on the top of the case to alleviate strain on the sync cord.
You can enjoy the fastest and most accurate TTL exposure on the market by adding the ST1K TTL Kit for Sony Alpha # 47040 and a compatible Ikelite DS strobe. Exposure compensation can be used added or subtracted in the camera.
Reliable locking connectors between the hotshoe and bulkhead make it easy to install the optional ST1K TTL Kit for Sony Alpha or carry back up parts when traveling to remote locations.
Controls and Set-UpThe shutter and AF-ON controls are set apart by ergonomic and sensitive curved lever actuators. Both controls can optionally be extended using the Shutter Trigger Extension # 4077.93 for more comfortable use when using a right-hand quick release handle. If you're not already using back button focus, we recommend learning this valuable trick.
All knob controls are upgraded to our new soft-touch design which gives you extra grip and feels good whether you're diving with gloves or bare hands. Our push buttons have been redesigned to reduce weight and salt build-up. The back of the housing features laser engraved control symbols which will never fade or fall off.
Control placement mimics the way you use the camera on the surface to take advantage of muscle memory and avoid the need to re-learn your camera's controls.
The camera mount is front-loading for easy installation and removal. A small mounting plate attaches to the bottom of the camera and secures in the front of the housing. The camera mounting plate does not need to be removed from the camera for surface use or when changing the battery or memory cards. The mounting plate features a 1/4-20 threaded mount on the bottom so that it can be attached to a tripod on the surface.
Rear View
The clear Lexan back provides a full view of the camera, o-ring, LCD screen. The camera's Access Lamp is visible through the back. The LCD monitor may be tilted during installation for a better viewing angle underwater.
Viewfinders
The included SuperEye Viewfinder provides an enhanced view of the camera's optical viewfinder when viewed through a dive mask. The viewfinder removes quickly and easily for the attachment of an optional Straight Magnified Viewfinder # 6890 or 45° Magnified Viewfinder (Type 1) # 6891.1.
Handling & Travel
Overall the housing is over 1/2 pound lighter than a typical FL counterpart. Our new hard anodized aluminum base with quick release handle has also been streamlined for travel and is over 3/4 pound lighter than our previous DSLR tray and handle system. The Right-Hand Quick Release Handle # 4077.02 (sold separately) can be added or removed depending on how you want to shoot. The precision machined aluminum base features 1/4-20 tripod mounting sockets and additional mounting locations for future accessories. Plus, the base and handle can be quickly removed when breaking down your system for travel.
A 1/4-20 threaded mounting point is located front and center on the housing above the lens port mount. This mount can be used to attach lightweight accessories like a focus light or GoPro camera.
If you're shooting with two strobe or lighting arms, then a top handle can be added to make the system easier to carry to and from the dive site. Top handles are available in a Cable Grip # 4080.07 or Aluminum Top Handle # 4080.08. The rigid aluminum version provides additional mounting points for lighting and accessories.
Construction
Our new white ABS-PC blend front is stronger than its clear counterpart, provides improved contrast and visibility, and keeps your camera running cooler in the sun. This material is 1/3 of the specific gravity of aluminum, making the housing much lighter and fundamentally corrosion free.
The unique rear seal design prevents accidental twisting or stretching of the o-ring for simple and confident assembly. We have eliminated the need for an o-ring groove or channel which can trap sand, dirt, or debris. Two double-passivated stainless steel locking lid snaps are simple to use and virtually unbreakable. The clear back allows you to see the o-ring form a solid, watertight seal as it closes.
A spare 1/2-20 threaded accessory port is included on the top of the housing near the bulkhead for expansion to future uses.
Like all of our housings, this product is made in the USA, individually inspected for fit, and water pressure tested to 200 feet (60m).
Ikelite DS Strobes
Ikelite DS series strobes can be used in manual exposure modes when attached directly to the housing using Single Sync Cord # 4103.51 or Dual Sync Cord # 4103.52. Install the ST1K Sony Alpha TTL Kit # 46040 for the most accurate exposure and fastest triggering on the market. The TTL Kit installs quickly and easily and requires no batteries to weaken or die during your shoot. Only Ikelite DS strobes are capable of powering up and communicating with the TTL Kit.
Ikelite Non-Digital Strobes
Older non-digital strobes featuring an ICS-5 electrical sync cord bulkhead can be used with this system in manual exposure modes.
SEA&SEA, INON, or Retra Strobes
SEA&SEA, INON, or Retra strobes with an electrical connection can be triggered in manual exposure modes using Single Sync Cord # 4118.1 or Dual Sync Cord # 4118.2. Strobes without an electrical sync cord connection cannot be attached to this system unless slaved off of a hard-wired strobe.
Fiber Optic
Fiber optic only strobes are not compatible with this installation. An external strobe must be connected by electrical sync cord.
Remote Triggering
Strobes with remote slave capabilities may be triggered off of a flash attached to the housing by electrical sync cord. Ikelite DS strobes support remote triggering using the Optical Slave Converter product # 4403 or the Water Wizard system (manufactured and sold by Aquatica).
Compatibility
This housing is only compatible with the Sony Alpha A9 camera as shipped by the manufacturer. Unless otherwise noted, this housing does not accommodate the use of add-on grips, battery grips, eyepieces, LCD covers, or other accessories.
Differences in lens and control placement prevent other camera models from being used in this housing. We are not aware of any other models which may be used in or adapted to this particular housing.

Sony SKU: ILCE6300M/B | Helix SKU: SYILCE6300MB
The new 24.2 MP10 Exmor® CMOS sensor raises the bar of imaging performance. Its copper wiring and enhanced circuitry make it possible to lower the wiring layer and boost light collection efficiency, in order to capture low-noise images with a wide sensitivity range up to ISO 5120011. The use of copper raises readout speed as well as the potential of advanced 4K and Full HD 120fps shooting.
How do the superior speed, power and efficiency of the BIONZ X™ image processor unleash the potential and sensitivity of the new image sensor? With an algorithm optimized for the new image sensor to provide stills and movies with unrivaled resolution and reproduce greater texture and detail, particularly at mid-to-high ISO settings
For supremely reliable accuracy and tracking stability, new High-density Tracking AF Technology activates AF points to cover the area around the subject with about 7.5 times as much density as the 6000. Only this focal plane phase-detection autofocus function can seamlessly activate AF points and track subjects moving within frame with such unerring precision.
Clearly capture action with high-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps. Or choose among three speeds up to 8fps, according to the shooting situation, for live-view continuous shooting with very little lag on the EVF or LCD screen, to get the sense of immediacy of shooting with an optical viewfinder.
The α6300 offers focal plane phase-detection AF even when an A-mount lens14 is mounted using a mount adapter (LA-EA3) from Sony. So you can take advantage of the autofocus system’s uniquely wide coverage provided by 425 focal plane phase-detection AF points, as well as fast, fluidtracking performance when shooting with other lenses as well as E-mount lenses.
The α6300 introduces a high-contrast, high-resolution, high-visibility XGA OLED Tru-Finder™ that reproduces darkness and color in very fine detail, as well as a mode to display images at the higher frame rate of 120fps (100fps), so you can see action smoothly and track it easily on this electronic viewfinder.
4K movie recording in the Super 35 mm16 format with full pixel readout and no pixel binning allows about 2.4 times17 as much information as is basically required for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). Data this rich is, in fact, equivalent to 6K data, so it clearly conveys the ultimate resolution in 4K images.
You can shoot high-quality Full HD18 footage, even in Full HD 120fps (100fps) high-speed shooting with AF tracking at a high bitrate up to 100 Mbps. Otherwise, the camera can record 4x/5x slow motion movies internally when the frame rate is set at 30p (25p) or 24p.
S-Gamut/S-Log shooting give you flexibility to make more expressive movies by performing color grading in post-production. The S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamma curves feature wide dynamic range (up to 1300%) to minimize whiteout and blackout. The α6300 even offers impressive 14-stop latitude in S-Log3 gamma setting. The camera also supports S-Gamut, S-Gamut3, and S-Gamut3. Cine color space from Sony. *S-Log2 and S-Log3 are premised on processing pictures.
Silent Shooting mode releases the shutter without a sound, even in continuous shooting up to about 3fps with AF/AE tracking, so it's very convenient for shooting indoor performances, outdoor wildlife, and in other situations where silence is essential. To turn this mode on/off more intuitively and less intrusively, assign it to a customizable button.
One-touch remote makes your smartphone or tablet a viewfinder/remote control. One-touch sharing transfers photos/videos to your device for SNS sharing. Just install a PlayMemories Mobile™ app via Wi-Fi® to your NFC-enabled Android device, then touch the device to the camera to connect them. No NFC? No problem. New QR code compatibility can also pair the devices.
Fast Hybrid AF makes movie autofocus exceptionally precise, so it’s especially valuable for 4Krecording. In addition to a very dense phase-detection AF point array, this system in the α6300 features adjustable AF Drive Speed and AF Tracking Sensitivity to help you express more creativity by manipulating focus, as far as conditions and your imagination allow.
You can use autofocus even while enlarging a selected image area on the viewfinder or LCD screen, for finer adjustment of focus, for example. Excellent for macro shooting, when accurate focusing is crucial.
This function maintains focus on a moving subject automatically. Simply align the target frame and the subject to be tracked, and press the center button. If you lose track of the subject, the camera can detect that subject and resume the Lock-on AF function when the subject reappears on the screen.
When the selected AF point loses track of or is not positioned on a moving subject, Expand Flexible Spot function automatically directs surrounding AF points to restore focus instantly on that subject.
Eye AF is now available in AF-C mode in this camera. This means it automatically focuses on and even tracks focus on a subject’s eye, as the face moves, extending your freedom to frame a shot.
In addition to plug-in microphones, the camera supports line input from professional-standard audio devices with XLR terminal, with use of a separately sold XLR adapter kit (XLR-K2M/XLR-K1M) that enables connection with various high-end microphones. That way, you can make fine audio setting adjustments and high-quality/low-noise sound recordings worthy of serious movie shooting.
Simplify exposure monitoring, especially when shooting in S-Log gamma setting. Target a video signal brightness level from 0-109%, set a range between +10% and -10% of that value, and zebra pattern indicates areas with that level of exposure within that range. New minimum brightness level setting reliably warns you to avoid blown-out highlights.
With internal frames, rear cover, top cover and front cover constructed of magnesium alloy, the robust, rigid, light body of the α6300 is stronger than that of its predecessors. Designed for solid reliability and steady handling, this compact form readily withstands the rigors of shooting in the field.
Enjoy carefree shooting in tough environments, thanks to comprehensive dust and moisture resistance21 measures that help prevent water and dust from entering the body. These measures include sealing around the buttons and dials, as well as a protective double-layered structure that tightly interlocks panels and components.
The strength and rigidity of the camera body and lens mount provide an especially solid foundation for mounting and withstanding rugged use with even large, heavy lenses such as telephoto lenses and lenses preferred for movie shooting.
Camera operation can be powered via USB connection to a PC or mobile battery. This conserves the camera battery, extending the length of time that the camera can be used before the battery is depleted. When the camera is turned off, the battery can be charged via the same connection.
For RAW recording, 14-bit RAW output and 16-bit image processing help preserve maximum detail and produce images of the highest quality with rich tonal gradations. The 14-bit RAW (Sony ARW) format ensures optimal quality for later image adjustment (via Image Data Converter or other software).
Prevent blur in a shot of a moving subject by setting a shutter speed at which ISO sensitivity starts changing when ISO AUTO (while in P or A mode, or in Multi Frame NR) is selected.
The first three characters of the file name are now customizable on the camera. The file name starts with "DSC" by default, but you can change and register the three characters of your choice. This facilitates the photographers to manage the files easily especially when working with multiple cameras in assignments.
Express photographs more creatively with this application download service that lets you add new functions to your camera’s feature set22. Choose among Time-lapse for recording images at intervals and combining them, Smart Remote Control for control of settings from a smartphone or tablet, Sky HDR (high-dynamic-range-imaging), Star Trail, Liveview Grading, Smooth Reflection and other apps. Note: Services availability depends on region.
Capture One Express (for Sony) is one of the world’s best RAW converters, rendering precise colors and incredible detail. It contains flexible digital asset management, all the essential adjustment tools and fast, responsive performance in one customizable and integrated solution. * Please direct all inquiries on purchase, usage and support for Capture One solutions to Phase One.

Sony SKU: ILCE6500/B | Helix SKU: SYILCE6500B
Meet the α6500 — the APS-C interchangeable lens compact camera that puts the power to shoot professional-looking stills and movies solidly in your hands. An enhanced buffer for continuous shooting of up to 307 shots2, in-camera 5-axis optical image stabilization, touchscreen control, super-speed AF and High-density Tracking AF Technology extend the range of your shooting capabilities.
The α6500 features an APS-C image sensor with approx. 24.213 effective megapixels plus thin wiring layer and large photodiode substrate for light collection efficiency. Combined with BIONZ X™ image processing engine, the image sensor achieves a wide sensitivity range of ISO 100-5120014 with low noise. The sensor’s quick-transmission copper wiring layer helps the camera to shoot movies in 4K and Full HD at 120fps (100fps15).
With 425 focal plane phase-detection AF points helping to provide distinctively wide and dense AF point coverage, the α6500 focuses accurately, efficiently and reliably on subjects throughout the frame. Also, High-density Tracking AF Technology seamlessly activates AF points to cover and track subjects moving within frame with unerring precision. (1) Phase-detection AF coverage (425 points) (2) Contrast-detection AF coverage (169 points)
The α6500 features the world's fastest16 (0.05 sec.16) AF speed. Such speed is achieved by integrating the Fast Hybrid AF’s autofocusing performance plus the BIONZ X™ image processing engine’s highly efficient, accurate handling of information. This makes for extraordinarily fast, accurate AF and tracking performance when shooting movies or stills. (1) Point of focus (2) Contrast-detection AF (3) Phase-detection AF
Clearly capture moving subjects with high-speed continuous shooting at up to 11fps (Hi+). Or choose among three speeds up to 8fps (Hi), for live-view continuous shooting with very little lag on the EVF or LCD screen ― it’s practically as immediate as shooting with an optical viewfinder.
The α6500 compensates for five types of camera shake, extending opportunities to shoot steadier still images and movies. The new high-accuracy gyro sensor provides an image stabilization effect equivalent to a 5-steps-faster18 shutter speed. The camera enables you to zoom in on faraway subjects, snap detailed close-ups, capture night scenes and more ― all with minimal camera shake blur. (1) Yaw (2) Pitch (3) Roll
Touch Focus makes focus point selection more intuitive ― simply use a finger to touch the LCD touchscreen at the point of the image that you want to focus on. The Touch Pad function lets you shift the focus point smoothly by swiping a finger on the touchscreen, even while viewing the viewfinder.
4K movie recording in the Super 35 mm21 format with full pixel readout and no pixel binning allows approx. 2.4 times22 as much information as is basically required for 4K (QFHD: 3840 x 2160). Data this rich is, in fact, equivalent to 6K data, so it clearly conveys exceptionally high resolution in 4K images.
The α6500 introduces a high-contrast, high-resolution, high-visibility XGA OLED Tru-Finder™. It reproduces darkness and color in very fine detail, for clear, smooth views of scenes and tracking of subjects. You can select either 120 (100fps15) or 60fps (50fps15) frame rate for use of this viewfinder.
The α6500 features the Eye AF function that detects an eye and focuses on it with pinpoint accuracy even when shooting with a fast lens with aperture fully open and therefore with shallow depth of field. Eye AF also works in AF-C mode, so even if the subject moves, the wide coverage of the high-density 425-point focal plane phase-detection AF sensor maintains very accurate focus on the eyes.
This function maintains focus on a moving subject automatically. Simply align the target frame and the subject to be tracked. If you lose track of the subject, the camera can detect that subject and resume the Lock-on AF function when the subject reappears on the screen.
Enjoy less blur from vibration and a very quiet, durable shutter tested to about 200,000 shutter releases23. Added braking mechanisms near the end of the rear shutter path plus elastic material as shock absorber produce these benefits. The reduced vibration also helps optimize image sensor resolution performance.
The BIONZ X™ image processing engine is supported by newly developed front-end LSI. The image processing algorithm optimized for the image sensor enhances texture reproduction and image clarity while minimizing noise, particularly in the mid-to-high sensitivity range.
Up to 5x Slow Motion and up to 60x Quick Motion25 can be recorded at up to 50 Mbps in high-quality Full HD in camera. You can choose among eight shooting frame rates ranging from 1fps to 120fps (100fps15), as well as 24p, 30p (25p15), or 60p (50p15) recording format. Slow Motion and Quick Motion footage can be played back after it is shot, without PC-based post-production processing.
The α6500 offers focal plane phase-detection AF even when an A-mount lens26 is mounted using a mount adaptor (LA-EA3) from Sony. So you can take advantage of the autofocus system’s uniquely wide coverage provided by 425 focal plane phase-detection AF points, as well as fast, fluid tracking performance when shooting with other lenses as well as E-mount lenses. (1) A-mount lenses
You can use autofocus even while enlarging a selected image area on the viewfinder or LCD screen, for finer adjustment of focus, for example. Excellent for macro shooting, when accurate focusing is crucial.
With Gamma Display Assist, you can view images with natural contrast while recording in S-Log gamma setting, converting S-Log2 and S-Log3 into ITU709 (800%) gamma for monitoring27 images, or checking focus while enlarging an image on the LCD screen or viewfinder. Moreover, Zebra function simplifies exposure monitoring, especially when shooting in S-Log gamma setting. Target a video signal brightness level from 0 to 109%, and set a range between +10 and –10% of that value; zebra pattern indicates areas with that level of exposure within that range.
S-Gamut and S-Log shooting give you flexibility to perform color grading in post-production. The S-Log3 and S-Log2 gamma curves feature wide dynamic range (up to 1300%) to minimize whiteout and blackout. The α6500 even offers impressive 14-stop latitude in S-Log3 gamma setting. The camera also supports S-Gamut, S-Gamut3 and S-Gamut3. Cine color space from Sony. NOTE: S-Log2 and S-Log3 are premised on processing pictures.
The camera supports line input from professional-standard audio devices with XLR terminal, with use of a separately sold XLR adaptor kit (XLR-K2M/XLR-K1M) that enables connection with various high-end microphones. This camera also supports clean HDMI output that allows uncompressed 4K and Full HD movies to be output to an external recorder or monitor.
With internal frames, rear cover, top cover and front cover constructed of magnesium alloy, α6500 is designed for solid reliability and steady handling, as its compact form readily withstands the rigors of shooting in the field. Also, the strength and rigidity of the lens mount provide an especially solid foundation for mounting and withstanding rugged use with even large, heavy lenses such as telephoto lenses.
The redesigned menu has a new categorization scheme. Now, the group name being selected can be found at the screen top, and each tab is colored differently. This allows quick access to desired menu items, which enables you to change settings smoothly even during shooting.
Each file name starts with "DSC" by default, but you can use the camera to change, register and thereby customize the file name to include the first three characters of your choice. This facilitates management of files, especially when working on assignments with multiple cameras.
Express photographs more creatively with PlayMemories Camera Apps™, the application download service that lets you add new functions to your camera’s feature set29.
After the camera has been paired via Bluetooth® to the PlayMemories Mobile29 app installed on a compatible mobile phone or tablet device, it can acquire and record location data from the mobile device. The acquired location data can also be used to correct the camera’s date/time and location settings. Along with Multi, Center, and Spot metering modes, the camera features new ones including Highlight, which automatically detects the brightest area in the frame and concentrates exposure metering on that area to avoid blown highlights; and Average, which determines average metering for the entire image in order to maintain stable AE tracking performance as shooting angles change as well as predictable AE behavior. Also, when [Focus Area] parameter is set to [Flexible Spot] or [Expand Flexible Spot] the metering spot location can be linked to the focus area (selectable from Center/Focus Point Link). Moreover, standard exposure value can be adjusted from -1 to +1 stop in 1/6-stop increments, and set separately for each metering mode.
When white balance is set to Auto and incandescent lamps or similar illumination are the light sources, the color tone priority can be set to [Standard], [Ambience] or [White]. [Ambience] produces a warm tone; [White] reproduces white tones faithfully.
When the camera is connected to a computer, you can use Remote Camera Control to take pictures or change camera settings from the computer. This computer-to-camera connection now makes it possible for you to store still images in camera as well as on the computer, so you can visually check images without leaving the camera position. Sony SKU: ILCE6500M/B | Helix SKU: SYILCE6500MB

Sony SKU: ILCE7M2/B | Helix SKU: SYILCE7M2B
The α7 II dramatically expands your range of expression by compensating for five types of camera shake during handheld shooting of still images and movies. The highly effective 4.5-step2compensation lets you confidently zoom in on faraway subjects, snap detailed close-ups, capture night scenes and more—all with minimal camera shake blur.
Confidently use your favorite E-mount and A-mount lenses, knowing the α7 II analyzes information from the lens to optimize depiction performance and 5-axis image stabilization for the particular lens you mount. When using E-mount lenses with optical stabilization (OSS), the α7 II combines the best of in-lens and in-camera image stabilization.
The newly enhanced Fast Hybrid AF system delivers extremely high-speed response, highly accurate prediction, and wide area coverage for autofocusing and tracking you can always depend on. It’s remarkably fast for a full-frame camera AF system (30% faster than the α7) and accurately predicts subject movement so you can steadfastly track your subject.
The α7 II offers focal plane phase-detection AF even when an A-mount lens is mounted5 via LAEA3(LA-EA16) mount adapter. So you can take advantage of the wide AF coverage, high-speed response, high tracking capability and high optical performance of A-mount lenses.
The image sensor delivers beautiful images from corner to corner, with stunning 24.3 MP resolution. Enjoy low noise, extremely wide dynamic range, and amazingly rich and subtle gradations. Innovations that only Sony could achieve reproduce details more faithfully so that every scene looks incredibly real.
BIONZ X™ faithfully reproduces textures and details in real time, as seen by the naked eye, thanks to its extra high-speed processing capabilities. Together with front-end Large Scale Integration that accelerates processing, it renders more natural details, more realistic images, and richer tonal gradations, and produces less noise when shooting still images and movies.
The remarkably compact and lightweight body is solidly built to withstand the rigors of shooting in the field. It’s the ideal blend of light weight, solid reliability, and steady handling, thanks to a top cover, front cover, and internal structure constructed of rigid magnesium alloy.
The strength and rigidity of the body and lens mount were enhanced to provide an especially solid foundation for mounting large, heavy lenses, such as super telephoto lenses and those preferred for movie shooting.
The refined shape and height of the grip gives you a more secure grasp of the camera even when a large lens is mounted. This also contributes to more confident operation of the shutter button and dials. Moreover, the shutter button was reshaped and shifted forward for more natural shooting with less camera shake.
The α7 II packs powerful moviemaking capabilities in extremely compact dimensions. You can create movies of breathtaking visual and sound quality with exquisite background blur, remarkably clear details, and sensitivity that brings dark scenes to vibrant life. Features like Picture Profile and P/A/S/M modes further expand your creative options.
The viewfinder offers impressive visibility that contributes to stress-free, intuitive operation. You can accurately monitor what will appear in your final images because it faithfully displays the effects of your various camera settings. Moreover, an advanced three-lens optical system offers rich tonal gradation and extremely high contrast.
Monitor the stabilizing effects of camera shake compensation in the viewfinder or LCD screen while shooting still images by pressing the shutter button halfway or magnifying the image, and while shooting movies by entering movie mode. Even when using a telephoto or macro lens, you can fine-tune framing and focusing with stress-free stability.
It’s easy to keep moving subjects in focus with enhanced Lock-on AF, which analyzes even more information from the scene to ensure usage of the optimal AF point for smooth, stable autofocusing. Its ability to detect and track moving subjects is significantly improved, thanks to Sony’s advanced proprietary image analysis technology.
Detail reproduction technology depicts details more faithfully with a more natural sense of dimension, while diffraction-reducing technology suppresses the effects of diffraction to faithfully reproduce fine details even when shooting at small aperture settings.
Area-specific noise reduction selectively divides the image into areas based on patterns (such as edges, textures, and flat areas like blue skies), then applies the most appropriate noise reduction to each area to markedly reduce noise and achieve a new level of clarity.
Fine-tune the look of movies before shooting by adjusting gradation, color adjustment, and detail. Adjusted parameters can be saved with other settings as a profile, and up to seven profiles can be stored for later recall.
This proprietary Sony gamma setting, featured in professional camcorders, creates a 1,300% wider dynamic range for smooth expression of gradation with reduced whiteout and blackout. Through color grading in postproduction, you can make the most of the low-noise image and super-rich detail to achieve various types of image expression.
This function provides a Record Run setting that only advances the timecode while recording, a Free Run setting that advances the timecode whether recording or not, a drop frame method, and a non-drop frame method. The α7 II can also output an embedded timecode when the clean HDMI output setting is in use.
An HDMI terminal makes it easy to transfer Full HD movie signals in real time to an external monitor for accurate, large-screen viewing and listening. This feature supports uncompressed movie recording on external recording equipment and lets you output uncompressed movies with the shooting info display function off.
Refined controls offer intuitive operation and let you adjust parameters immediately while viewing scenes through the viewfinder. The front and rear dials were carefully redesigned and positioned with overall handling in mind for easier, more efficient turning. Refinement that even surpasses that of other α7 series models.
The LCD screen tilts upward approx. 107 degrees and downward approx. 41 degrees to accommodate wide-ranging shooting angles. This flexibility combines with compact mobility to greatly expand your shooting options. Viewing is also clear under direct sunlight thanks to WhiteMagic™ technology that nearly doubles the brightness of the display.
To keep your photos blemish free, a special antistatic coating on the surface of the optical filter suppresses the attachment of both dry and moist dust particles when changing lenses. An antidust mechanism also vibrates at high speed when you select Cleaning Mode to remove any particles adhering to the filter.
One-touch remote lets you use your smartphone or tablet as a viewfinder and remote control for a digital camera, and one-touch sharing lets you transfer your photos and videos from your camera. Either way, by installing PlayMemories Mobile app to your NFC enable Android smartphone or tablet, you can avoid complex set-up sequences and establish wireless connection simply by touching your device to the camera. You are now ready to control your camera from your smartphone to take a photo from a previously out-of-reach spot, or simply be in your own group shot, as well as transfer them instantly to your smartphone for sharing on SNS. No NFC? No problem. You can also pair the devices manually.
This mode composites four shots to significantly suppress noise and raise sensitivity, letting you clearly capture dark scenes without a tripod or flash. Camera shake blur is also lowered while contrast and detail are raised.
Capture One Express (for Sony) is one of the world's best RAW converters, rendering precise colors and incredible detail. It contains flexible digital asset management, all the essential adjustment tools, and fast, responsive performance in one customizable and integrated solution. * Please direct all inquiries on purchase, usage, and support on Capture One solutions to Phase One.
When your subject is moving fast, you can beautifully capture the decisive moment with sharp, well-exposed results thanks to 5 fps continuous AF/AE shooting. A dramatically improved algorithm accurately predicts subject movement so you can steadfastly track subjects even when shooting continuously.
For extremely high image quality and minimal noise, record movies in the high-bitrate XAVC S format, which was developed based on the professional XAVC 4K/HD format. It offers Full HD (1920 x 1080) image recording at 50 Mbps (60p/50p, 30p/25p, 24p)12 and uses linear PCM sound for high-quality sound recording.
